The goal of the project is to complete an HR audit to take stock of where we are when it comes to employment legislation and compliance of current HR and OH&S policies and procedures. The audit will assist in identifying what we are doing right, what needs to be updated, mitigate risks, and help improve inefficiencies. As a growing organization a focus on a strategic level of human resource function is necessary. It is important to AARCS that we are having a positive impact for all those who are a part of our organization, including staff, volunteers and visitors. Their well-being and safety are paramount not only in our values as an employer but also as a strategic factor in the success of our mission of ‘changing lives through kindness.’
The main purpose of this project is to enhance the accessibility of the Banff Sport Medicine Foundation’s (BSMF) digital education resources by hiring a consultant to subtitle short snippets of popular video content in English, French and Tagalog.
These enhanced resources will be shared on a digital display in the new Banff Sport Medicine Clinic, which serves a broad demographic, and promoted widely on BSMF’s regular outreach channels (YouTube, website, quarterly newsletter, and social media). This will enable BSMF to maximise the impact and reach of the educational content, as well as raise further awareness of BSMFs work and community resources.
The goal of the project is to collect and synthesize the data required to develop an inventory of Calgary non-profit affordable housing projects. The research will inform an online directory of Calgary projects in various planning phases and a Calgary Case for Affordable Housing Support. In partnership with interested non-profit affordable housing providers (the ‘providers’) and informed by the priorities of the various levels of government and other significant funders (the ‘core funders’), CAHF will collect and consolidate data on the various Calgary projects. The information will serve to prioritize CAHF’s efforts while providing an opportunity for all providers to profile their projects to various P3 funders.
CCVO created a comprehensive data set for all 34,262 nonprofits in Alberta to support the Mapping the Field project. Our first pilot partner is Disability Action Hall. CCVO will present the Disability Action Hall Advocacy Pull Sheet at our AGM on September 22nd and follow with the creation of 2 additional graphic data pull sheets supporting 3 partner organizations working in distinct areas of the nonprofit sector as part of this pilot.

The Calgary Faith Property Roundtable seeks to bring together leaders of faith communities across Calgary, to discuss the future of their properties within the city. Through this project we believe we can activate the various faith communities in Calgary to start considering a redeployment of their properties for community impact. In hosting this town hall, TCF is seeking to:
1) Support the broader faith community in the Calgary region in revisioning their properties for community impact
2) Identify properties/partners that are well positioned to become community hubs and/or affordable housing to address existing inequities in Calgary
3) Develop a high-level proposal with up to three groups to support their development project
