Athabasca University (AU) is partnering with Calgary non-profits to create a flexible, scalable and cost-effective data management system, designed by and for non-profits, and to be perpetually supported by AU infrastructure. This project will address a major gap in the non-profit sector: lack of access to quality and cost-effective data management systems. These systems are necessary to provide evidence-based services, show program effectiveness, and develop strategically and sustainably.
After preliminary conversations this will provide The Doorway and Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth (USAY) information required to effectively & comprehensively explore: the implications of a more formal collaboration (up to and including merger), the due diligence process needed to support informed decision-making, how such a collaboration could benefit both organizations and the vulnerable populations theycurrently serve, and the potential for it to expand their impact in the future.
The Bethany Care Society is investing in a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) learning journey that will equip senior leaders with common knowledge and language about DEI in a Canadian context. The BJP Music Foundation, a registered charity, is seeking funding over two years for a part-time position to help the organisation plan a transition from a grass-roots, entirely volunteer-run endeavour to an organization with a sustainable, independent financial future. The part-time manager would oversee the administration of current programming – including the marketing of current artistic assets and work with consultants and board members to implement a financial plan for the future.
SOS Congo is asking for support to continue our youth programs. SOS Congo works with at-risk youth in the city through a few different outreach programs. SOS Congo has a leadership training program for youth and young adults as well as a basketball outreach program.

The amount of people that the organization serve has increased from 200 people to 325 people in the last 12 months. Revenues are not following the same trend and the organization is struggle to cope with this situation given the ongoing increasing of the needs.
