MFNS is expanding our Single Mothers Self-Sufficiency Program in which we are seeking funding that will support our curriculum for this program around I. Basic literacy and financial literacy II. Focusing on emotional well being, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and exhaustion iii. Learning skills to be self-sufficient and be a positive contributor to society iv. Learning rights and responsibilities as Canadians and be a law abiding citizen v. Developing positive parenting skills

Over the past two years, the National accessArts Centre (NaAC) has experimented with music and media projects to offer NaAC artists with disabilities more diversity in their artistic practices. The artists have not only responded positively to the projects but developed long-term programs that the NaAC would like to formally support moving forward through a Music and Media Program. A Community Grant will put the program into motion administratively and support artists projects in the next year.

NPower Canada will pilot a new, rapid-cycle program delivery model for its Junior IT Analyst stream and scale its Junior Data Analyst program to launch 450 low-income Calgarian adults ages 18+ into meaningful and rewarding digital careers. At the same time, NPower Canada will continue to provide its Calgary participants with a full spectrum of support from skills training to professional development wraparound support and job placement and five years of alumni services.

The Whyte Museum is committed to meaningful change as called for in the TRC’s 94 Calls to Action. The IPM and Indigenous Advisors will guide the staff to expand exhibitions events and programs. The intent is to continue to build capacity among Indigenous youth and community by delivering the programs we have developed when the COVID-19 restrictions were in place. We strive to also include marginalized voices with new events exhibits and programs.

RESET is unique in providing immediate rapid-exit programming including 2stages of housing intensive 1-1 case management, 24/7 comprehensive wrap-around support to women and girls 16+ fleeing sexual exploitation. The RESET EXIT Program is based on researched needs of people seeking to exit sexual exploitation. The EXIT Program enables Participants and their children to stabilize heal reconnect and not only exit sexual exploitation but to also positively and completely rebuild their lives.

La Cité des Rocheuses seeks funding to offer the francophone community of Alberta an Official Language Minority Community (OLMC) needs assessments, social inclusion, learning opportunities, information services and assistance in navigating supports. Funding has ended and we need support to offer these services. We are leveraging on our leadership in the Portail-Gateway initiative, the partnerships, tools and innovation this initiative has brought to the sector to best serve all our clients.

Sonshine has identified the need to renew its brand to better reflect its values and purpose. Sonshine s origins are in the Christian faith and this remains a main driver of the organization the rebrand intends to eliminate existing or perceived barriers articulating values and purpose while effectively connecting with potential and current clients and stakeholders. Ultimately we wish to clarify the organization s value to support attracting potential clients talent stakeholders funders.

SCI-AB requests funding to support client services in Calgary and the area. SCI-AB is looking to hire a new Client Service Coordinator to answer the increased need for support of clients with disabilities who experience financial and mental health challenges. The services provided include financial assistance applications housing assistance with finding employment proving equipment or subsidizing the costs low rates for rehab therapy mental health support and connection to the community.

USAY currently has an augmented reality app called IndigiPRINTS. The app allow for Indigenous youth and community members to utilize their devices to interact with murals, magazine, buttons and other printed items we have created. Due to the expanding number of projects USAY has been able to create, the app has to become bloated and too large. USAY is asking for funding to pay a developer to redesign the coding for the app so that USAY can continue to expand our AR target image experiences.

WFCSS is seeking to expand its current Home Support programming by providing healthy meals for those with limited mobility within their own home. We are also looking to offer affordable healthy food options to low income families and seniors by way of Collective Cooking Meals on Wheels and Good Food Box. As well as assistance with transportation costs to medical appointments via volunteers.
