The Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area wishes to restore its beehives so that it is able to provide honey to its volunteers as a way of thanking them for helping fulfil its mandate. It also hopes to produce enough additional honey to sell to help off-set the cost of honey production. Based on past experience, it is likely that total production will amount to approximately 200 kilograms of honey. The pollination the bees provides also helps to maintain the spectacular wildflowers found on the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area. The new fencing has been designed to protect the beehives for many years to come.

A consultant will work with CL’s Safety Committee to examine and identify common and CanLearn specific risks, pull together their existing health and safety policies, manuals and emergency procedures into one enhanced, easy to use manual and create robust mitigations including developing emergency procedures and scenario training for staff. Our goal is to have the safest place possible for our employees, volunteers, clients and learners.
