Silver Linings seeks to hire a senior fundraising consultant, with capital campaign experience, to help us develop a multi-year strategic fund development plan that will enable and sustain our program growth over the next 4 to 5 years, and position us for a successful future capital campaign.

This project will expand and complete a multi-sport year-round trail system on the Tsuut'ina First Nations reserve Elementary, Junior and Senior High school property/land. Upon completion, the trail system will be used for the development of multi-season sport programming for students.

This initiative is to develop and implement a Family Support Program at Simon House. The Family Support Program will engage the family members of the 250 men who are admitted to the Simon House program each year. The program will provide individual, group, and family counselling, and continuing care and supports.

This project will address SHARP Foundation's primary challenges - ensuring that the people they serve have access to care and support services, to decrease social isolation and food security. This initiative is to hire a driver/ support person with trauma-informed care training for one year.

Strengthening the Home-Fire Project is an Indigenous strategy that seeks to promote healing and skill-building in family members. The project empowers families to build on existing strengths, increase parenting skills, develop deeper community connections, and create safety within the family circle.

PADS, a provider of certified assistance dogs, will pilot a program placing highly trained Service Dogs with first responders and veterans living with PTSD. This one-year pilot will build capacity and partnerships, train and place 4-8 PTSD Service Dogs in Calgary.

In 2020, KidSport is turning 25 in Alberta. As one of the founding chapters, KidSport Calgary is using this milestone as the platform to engage the community in building a foundation for the next 25. This grant is to develop a comprehensive community engagement plan.

The Children's Cottage is planning to construct a Child and Family Centre on land owned in Montgomery. Children's Cottage would like to establish a partnership with the community of Morley in order to best serve their community in this location. This initiative will utilize consultants and ceremony.

The CCAA is applying for a grant to update the You are Not Alone video (originally produced in 1995). The video will be updated to capture the curriculum used with children and teens who must testify in criminal court proceedings and who are enrolled in the organization's Child Witness Court Preparation Program.

To develop an effective digital strategy for engaging men in the organization's mission to end family violence. The initiative includes the creation of comprehensive content that will be accessible from anywhere in the world.

Enhance and promote the Calgary Inter-Mennonite Church building, located on Edmonton Trail, to create an intimate, fully-equipped, accessible and affordable performance and art space called "Theatre 1308."

The Calgary Fetal Alcohol Network (CFAN) is the backbone organization for a collective impact initiative to bring together stakeholders in the field of FASD known as the FASD Collective. This initiative seeks to improve outcomes and community conditions for individuals and families affected by FASD.

The IT Modernization project has four phases. Having successfully completed phase one and two, these next phases will improve the efficiency, effectiveness and security of information systems which will directly support Human Resources and Client Services.

The Organization Transformation Management project will lay the path for BB4CK's next 5 years. This work will ensure that BB4CK can continue to be successful in feeding hungry kids, and in creating social change to support communities where people care for others.

The Piitoayis Indigenous Family Connector serves Indigenous families with children who attend the Piitoayis Family School with the Calgary Board of Education. The Piitoayis program works to empower and equip Indigenous parents to support their children?s success in school.

This initiative will allow Autism Calgary to meet previously unmet needs of clients and community members through the strategic engagement of volunteers. Volunteers will allow the organization to meet constantly increasing demands from the rapidly growing Autism Community in Calgary.

Women of affluence have a different experience of domestic violence. This initiative will provide training to service providers on the culture of affluence and for informal supporters to be able to recognize domestic violence, respond appropriately to disclosure and refer to supportive agencies.

To implement a strategic communications plan which includes re-branding the organization and developing tools to communicate their work and increase impact. The project involves hiring a communications specialist who will have clear deliverables and a sustainability plan.

An organized and formal Alumni Program to continue to serve girls once they graduate from Haven's Way homes. The program will provide a continued sense of belonging within a strong support system, ongoing programming, and case management to facilitate success.

Calgary Counselling Centre will lead an initiative to build a strategic partnership to transform depression in Calgary by partnering with other local mental health agencies, funders and stakeholders.

To pilot and prove a 'made in Canada model' of Recovery College that focuses on prevention and health promotion, increases access and capacity to serve more Albertans through integrated services, reducing stigma, and fostering connection, belonging and hope through a progressive learning experience.

To create an innovative, evidence-based, e-mental health program to alleviate negative stress. Available as a mobile app using virtual reality, Inner Access will be educational and include practical tools designed to improve and maintain overall health and well-being of individuals aged 25-45.

To build Variety's ability to provide substantial impact in advocating for, helping set policy around, and offering support with inclusive playground design. Variety will provide research, information on best practices, and help with the "how to" of building inclusive playgrounds in Alberta.

To develop a fundraising strategy that will enable the organization to build a new kitchen/dining hall (lodge) and meet increasing demand for their services.

To equip individuals, peer support and key family members with specific mental health instruction including mental health first aid, psychological first aid, suicide awareness and mindfulness training. Training aims to create a stronger understanding of signs, symptoms and response actions, should individuals start to suffer.

NSTEP in collaboration with the Action for Healthy Kids Coalition (AHKC) will address the specific needs of families in the Greater Forest Lawn and Vista Heights (GFLVH) area). Schools will be the physical site for delivery of these services to families, many whom are English Language Learners.

To better the lives of persons with disabilities, the CAN CoP strives to build community capacity by providing networking and learning opportunities to its members and the broader community.

The Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane is looking to enhance and expand their services and programs for local teens and youth by opening a new space called The CLUB. This will be unique in the community as it will be the only space of its kind serving Cochrane and area teens.

Vivo will work with youth in to create a youth strategy leading to youth increasing their employability, community engagement, individual personal growth and establishing a youth hub at Vivo. The overall project will use a service design framework with Phase I consisting of discover and define.

Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy centre will implement a comprehensive volunteer program to enhance SKCAC's ability to provide screened and suitable volunteers on an as-needed basis to key programs.

As part of Carya's multi-generational hub, Carya is looking to develop a portion of the space into a designated art space that would offer; artistic programs for individuals across the lifespan; open studio space for neighbourhood residents, and; space for resident-led art projects.

Health Arts Society of Alberta would like to increase the number of free concerts in Calgary to elders in care by 100 in 2018-2019, reaching an additional 5,000 elders. This activity will allow Health Arts to apply for AGLC funding as well as give a strong case for support to private, individual and corporate funders in the province.
