The Métis community was well represented at the event by both curlers and instructors. Our more senior Métis curlers provided mentorship to the younger curlers and learned the value of “giving back” from sharing their skills. Youth were able to witness rural curlers excelling in their sport on the world stage. We learned we must invest in our youth, provide them with opportunities to learn, socialize and be successful.
