Be a Committee Volunteer at Calgary Foundation.

Committee volunteers at Calgary Foundation come from diverse backgrounds but share many common traits and skills.  All Committee volunteers are committed to the vision, mission and values of Calgary Foundation, and are willing to be ambassadors of the Foundation in the community.

Volunteers may have experience in the corporate, government, not-for-profit and charitable sector, or community development.  They will bring a variety of specific technical skills built from their careers and lived experience.  Skills essential for all volunteers include active listening, a willingness to learn, effective communication skills, team work, assessment, and evaluation.  Traits required by all volunteers are a positive attitude, an open mind, humility,  a servant-leader orientation, and a passion for building a better community where everyone can thrive.  Knowledge in the area of the Vital Priorities of the Foundation is an asset.  Experience in the charitable sector gained through work, or volunteering, or lived experience is also an asset.
